ALL SHOOK UP→ Quinn Fabray

GENERAL NOTES→ I didn’t know where else to put them which is the biggest reason this took seven years. Apologies.

It was Friday in Southern California, currently. It was a regular, summer day. Nothing exceptional happened to Mike Chang, and that was why he was driving himself over to the Fabray residence. He had figured what made the most sense to do on a day, especially a Friday of all, was to make the day in to something a little more than average. Naturally, the person that came to mind for him to have a partner in helping him achieve that was his best friend Charlie. He could have, and most likely should have, called, but as smart as Mike was, he had his moments where he made errors in judgment. This happened to be one of those instances, and thankfully, it wasn’t one that was too terrible of one since the worse that could happen would be that Charlie wasn’t home or busy.

Mike was in his own mind and world was driving, the route the the Fabray’s etched in his mind it was second nature to go to at this point. It was almost like his second home, at least when Charlie was there, or Quinn. Even if he was closer to one over the other, there was certainly a friendship forged between Mike and both Fabrays. He parked his car on the street, the boy too much of a gentleman to use the drive way even if there was space to do so, and got out. He didn’t see Charlie’s car, but he did see Quinn’s. That should have been a sign enough Charlie wasn’t home, but it didn’t hurt to knock all the time. Plus, if Quinn was there and not busy, then there was another friend he could possibly hang out with. In some ways, Mike was still a little socially awkward when it came to plans.

He walked up the walkway and knocked on the door of the house. He could have let himself in, and he knew ways to sneak in, but a friend stopping by unexpectedly already was enough of a surprise right there. An unexpected friend walking in to the house, or climbing through a window, was even more of one and completely unnecessary. So of course, he just patiently waited for the door to open.
